Proud, or; The Big Book of Little Things
serigraph in handbound book
Dealing with themes of depression, anxiety, and executive dysfunction, this project sought to take full advantage of the physicality of the medium of bookmaking. Measuring 6 inches tall by almost 4 feet wide when open, the book all but requires a viewer to move their entire body just to turn the page, let alone take it off or put it back onto a shelf--translating the effort sometimes required from those suffering from invisible or chronic illnesses to complete even day-to-day tasks into a viewer's physical interaction with the book.
